Below is a slide that gives a detailed look into the reality of my mother's mental illness and how it affects her and those around her. This slide was made as a call to attention for Delaware's Division of Aging who recently gave my mother's a "care assistant" who has my mother's bank information while leaving me notes inside my house even knowing no one was home
I am used to my mother's behavior and have always been able to see behind her curtain. The same curtain she puts up for everyone else I've always gotten to see behind and she always forgets that. This is only the beginning. Even though this was initially created as a way to share all the necessary information with the appropriate agencies regarding my mother, it was also extremely therapeutic while putting together so there is definitely more to come.
As my grandmom always said, "Don't tell me. Show me." This was something that would infuriate my mother as it would since all my mother does is TALK whereas I can SHOW YOU.
